Tamara is a PhD candidate at UniSA who is currently preparing her research proposal in the field of Complementary Medicine. Her project will compare the effects of essential oils to the non-specific effects of aromatherapy for the treatment of a common skin condition. The research is an experimental, quantitative design but will also include a qualitative whole systems research arm to examine the involvedness of the CAM practitioner on the outcome of treatment.
