NORPHCAM authored paper published in PLoS ONE examines glucosamine use and users amongst 266,848 older Australians (June 2021)

A number of NORPHCAM executive and members have published a peer-reviewed journal article in PLoS ONE (open access - https://journals.plos.org/plosone/) identifying a considerable proportion of the Australian population aged 45 and over consume glucosamine. The article reports research on 266,848 Australians and suggests there is a need for health care practitioners to enquire with their patients about their use of glucosamine and for further attention to be directed to providing good quality information for patients and providers with regards to glucosamine products.
